Sessions are held either in person or by videoconference (Skype, Zoom or Facebook Messenger).

Where are sessions held?

How much does a therapy session cost?

The hourly rate is $100 (taxes included). Sessions last 60 minutes. For 90-minute sessions, the rate is $135 (taxes included) and they require advanced notice when reserving.

I accept payment by Interac, by cheque or in cash.

What payment methods do you accept?

Are you available in the evening? Are you taking on new clients?

Yes, I am accepting new clients and I am available both during the day and in the evening. Whenever possible, I try to offer you an appointment within ten (10)  business days of receiving your request.

Do you issue receipts?

I issue naturopathy receipts from the RITMA Association for insurance and tax purposes. These receipts are accepted by most insurance companies.

Is your work supervised by a professional organization?

As a member of the Interveners and Therapists Group in Alternative and  Complementary Medicine (RITMA), my work is governed by a code of ethics and conduct that ensures my clients are protected. I also have to submit annual reports on my continuing education activities.

What’s the difference between a therapist and a psychologist or psychotherapist?

In Quebec, Bill 28 stipulates that only doctors, psychologists and members of certain professional orders may practice psychotherapy. These professionals can provide mental health care as well as counselling. They are trained to diagnose and treat ADHD, personality disorders and neurotic disorders, among others.

Therapists with a diploma from the Centre de relation d’aide de Montréal practice non-directive therapy. We are specialists in relationships, both with oneself and others.

If your issue falls outside my field of expertise, I can refer you to another qualified professional.

Is a videoconference session as effective as meeting in person?

Yes, because non-directive therapy also works at a distance. The therapy’s progress depends mainly on the client’s level of engagement.
